This mixed-media artwork involves the meticulous process of cutting paper tape into the shape of an old photograph and affixing it onto acrylic plates. The plates are then sprayed over before removing the tape, resulting in a layered composition that resembles a single image or photograph. The layers of acrylic plates in this artwork symbolize the concept of oblivion. Similar to how we gradually forget certain details when we are oblivious to something, memories can erode as we lose small fragments, ultimately compromising the entire recollection. I personally relate to this process of oblivion, as I have experienced instances where memories seemed to dissipate layer by layer, leaving behind gaps in the narrative.
